Repeat Prescriptions

blue_pillsFor certain conditions requiring long-term medication, you will be able to obtain repeat prescriptions without having to see the doctor every time. Repeat prescriptions may be requested by:-

  • Calling in at the surgery reception
  • By post, enclosing a stamped addressed envelope for their return.
  • Online via this website

It is necessary to give the practice 48 hours notice before the prescription can be issued. It is, therefore, in your own interest to ensure that you have sufficient medication to last until you actually receive your prescription.

Where possible, always use the right hand side of your reminder slip, marking your requirements clearly. Repeat scripts are regularly monitored by the Doctors and you may be asked to make an appointment to review your medication.

The practice offers a direct to pharmacy service. If you choose to nominate a local pharmacy to collect your prescription you can do so. Order your repeat medication in the usual way as described above and the prescription will be ready for you to collect from the pharmacy rather than the surgery (please note should you wish to take advantage of this service you must first speak to a member of the reception team to sign up).

Please note the practice requires 48 hours notice for prescriptions from patients using this service. If you order your prescription on line on either a Saturday or Sunday your request will not be processed until Monday.  Your prescription will be ready for collection on Wednesday.
